For donors who wish to help us continue our mission of care, several options are available, such as:
In the spring and late fall, we invite donors to participate in Redstone’s annual giving campaign. For the Spring of 2020, donors may select whether they wish their gift to support benevolent care for residents in need, or the COVID-19 expenses that Redstone is facing. Gifts may be made in honor or in memory, and are acknowledge on the Redstone campus of choice.
A memorial gift is a meaningful way to commemorate someone special, to honor the memory of a beloved family member or friend, or show support for the bereaved. Memorial gifts may be made online or by using one of the special envelopes available at the reception areas at Redstone. Residents are encouraged to discuss the possibility of memorial gifts to Redstone with their family members as part of their end-of-life planning.
A gift made in tribute honors someone who has really made a difference...a special person you celebrate and want to recognize. Tribute gifts can be given for important occasions like birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, or for life accomplishments. Tribute gifts may also be made online or by using one of the envelopes available at the reception areas.
Many factors lead to the need for benevolent care. People are living longer and the chances are greater that they will outlive their financial resources. Costs of health care and general services continue to increase beyond the cost of living. Investment income may be inadequate. Gifts to this fund will help ensure that residents and their families in need will have peace of mind knowing that they will continue to receive daily living and healthcare provisions at Redstone. In the late Fall each year, we conduct a “Love Tree” campaign to generate benevolent care gifts. Each gift is represented on a Christmas tree throughout the holidays. Similarly in the spring, we invite donors to help us “Grow a Garden of Love” where gifts are represented with plants on each campus. Benevolent care gifts may be made online at any time, or by using one of the gift envelopes.
Our only annual fundraising gala, the Highlands Fling, is our largest annual fundraiser for benevolent care. To learn more about the Fling, visit our Fling website at www.redstonefling.org. Ticket sales and donations make this a very special event for Redstone.
The Promises Kept Campaign has helped Redstone to build the endowment and complete some wonderful building enhancements. Funds are currently being raised for a new elevator tower to serve as an admissions and discharge area for the Harbor Skilled Nursing Center in Greensburg. Contact our VP for Mission Support Lisa Dormire to find out more about making a campaign gift.
A legacy gift, or charitable bequest, provides a gift of money or personal property through the direction of a will. If you wish to leave a legacy gift to the Redstone community, please contact your attorney. Legacy Gifts have provided incredible support to Redstone and we are grateful to the residents and family members who have placed such trust in us.
Gifts to this fund say "Thank You" to our dedicated employees who provide quality care and service to our residents every day. This campaign is totally conducted by Redstone residents and the gift is distributed by residents. While Redstone upholds a firm no-tipping/no-gifting policy towards employees, this is a wonderful way for residents and family members to say thank you.
With potential for providing greater tax relief instead of giving cash, gifts of appreciated securities make sound financial sense. If you wish to leave a gift of stock to Redstone Highlands, contact your financial advisor.
